Qualico Edmonton

With endless features that take advantage of climate and advanced structural knowledge and technique, Qualico Developments’ new Edmonton office is a construction marvel.

Housing seven tenants of the development firm, the Class “A” office space will remain an architectural gem of the city for decades to come.

A fusion of technology with classic structure, the 81,000 sq.ft. three-storey building makes use of expansive tyndall stonework to highlight its open, forward concept. Exciting yet elegant features of the building include light panels in elevator corridors and a feature stairway finished elegantly in glass and stone.

Tenant spaces revolve smartly around these stairs placed centrally in a magnificent 40’ high atrium. The open atrium is complemented by incredible amounts of natural light provided by a plethora of curtainwall glass and a daylight scavenging system.

Staff and guests are treated to first-class features throughout the entire facility. A staff eatery provides open space for community with a strong radius island and booth seating while a board room on the second floor even features a south-facing balcony.

A geothermal system with boiler back-up provides the primary source of heat, air conditioning, and domestic hot water for the facility and is supported by 112 wells and 56 heat pumps for powerful transfer capabilities.
