Alerted that Clark Builders was looking for talent in 2001, right when he was in the market for a new employer, Henry Rempel moved from Ontario to join the team. "What attracted me was the environment," he says. "Even though Clark Builders has gotten to be a significant sized company, I came away with the feeling they were people orientated. And I liked the management style." Sitting on the other side of the desk these days, doing interviews with both prospective and current employees, he can point to dozens with similar stories. "We treat people as individuals. There's good communication across every level of the organization. People are paid attention to and treated with the respect they deserve."
The majority of our people, once they join us, stay. The whole work atmosphere is what attracted them, and they can't believe how they're made to feel at home.
