This facility is recognized as the largest single-line Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in North America, capable of producing nearly 900M sq.ft. of OSB per year. The Behlen metal building structure (40% of which is 90’ tall) was trucked to site using almost 300 trucks. The owner’s production start was the fall of 2000, therefore the metal building was given an aggressive schedule of four months to complete. To achieve this, more than 60 metal building system erectors, ironworkers and cladders (our own forces) were dispatched to this site.
