Andy Clark named Alberta Chamber of Resources Resource Person of the Year

The ACR Resource Person of the Year is a leader who exemplifies the best of Canadian industry, representing the qualities that make Alberta's resource development companies some of the most entrepreneurial and forward thinking organizations in the world.

Building the company literally from the ground up Andy Clark found opportunity when he headed out west in the late '60's. Much like what the founders of the Alberta Chamber of resources had done more than three decades before he turned to the remote mining country. 

After paying his dues by working on a variety of worksites and setting the baseline for the performance centered way he'd conduct himself professionally, he struck out on his own in 1974 by starting up Clark Builders in Yellowknife.

Neither modesty or affability are requirements for success, but they are the qualities that inspire likeability.  Andy would be the first to credit the people around him, those who rose and continue to rise with him having sustained and expanded a winning formula for over 36 years.  Andy discovered and applied that winning formula and the company's character and values are nowhere better reflected than in his own.
