Labourers

Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, and cement finishers in construction activities.
Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
Assist demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps.
Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove other hazardous materials.
Direct traffic at or near construction sites.

Skills:

The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time. Manual dexterity, balance for working on scaffolding. To solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately. The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Get along well with others and client service interaction skills.

Carpenters

Build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers and other structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.

Build foundations and other concrete formed structures, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.

Maintain, repair and renovate commercial buildings and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, parkades, institutional buildings and other establishments.

Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.

Description

The Order Desk is responsible for the day to day transactions on the Rental Order Desk. The Order Desk will generate rental contracts, filling customer orders and keeping accurate, legible updated paperwork. The Order Desk will communicate with our customers via phone, email, fax or in person and must always practice a high level of customer service and responsibility.

The Order Desk reports directly to the Manager, CB Resources with a dotted line relationship to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Skills:

Interfacing with customers by telephone, email, fax or in person in a prompt, courteous, business-like manner.
Inside sales of all products and services, including rentals that CB Resources offers.
Draws up rental and sale contracts electronically.
Processes equipment returns and closes rental contracts accurately.
Performs other equipment inquiries through CB Resources computerized rental system.
Keeps paperwork current to ensure prompt action on all transactions.
Ensures that equipment sent to site is in good clean running condition. (Rental Ready).
Must be willing and able to assist in servicing equipment.
Prioritizes and dispatch’s the driver and coordinates all deliveries and pick ups.
Responsible for the proper completion of all vehicle inspection reports.
Perform additional job related assignments as directed by supervisor.
Adhere to Clark Builders’ policies and procedures.

Summer Labourers
