&lt;li&gt;Solves safety related problems on the work site.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Immediately deals with identified problems by giving specific instructions/advice for the correction of the problem(s) to the Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman or worker as appropriate. If the incident is potentially dangerous to life, health, or property the Safety Manager must take immediate action, which may include stopping the work until the problem is corrected. Document all disciplinary and corrective action by using an appropriate form (e.g. Worksite Inspection Report, Cleanup Notification, Notice of Worker Discipline) or at least making diary notations regarding the incident and actions taken.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Participates in Hazard Assessments. Ensures workers have a thorough knowledge of the potential hazards on site and takes the precautions necessary to guard against them.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Participates in updating the site Hazard Assessment as the scope and nature of the project changes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assists the Superintendent in the Investigation, or reviews reports, of all incidents, accidents or near misses. Submits reports, complete with recommendations for improvements, to the Project Manager or designate. All incidents must be reported to the Safety Manager as soon as possible.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensures subcontractors are in compliance with Clark Builders’ safety policies and regulation (e.g. attend tool box meetings, site orientation, safety meetings, etc.).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Working with Director of Corporate Safety to audit, maintain, administer, improve, develop safety program.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Perform Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits – internally and externally, to maintain reciprocal status with the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA). &lt;/li&gt;
