One Executive Rendering

"With yearly revenues of over $200 million, this multi-faceted, privately held, general contracting firm has a history of success in diverse construction projects. Its northern construction expertise, acquired during its early days in Yellowknife, continues to make it a dominant force in the far north. South of the Territories, its reputation for understanding private sector clients has secured the company a place among the top contractors in the country. It was even able to spin its skills overseas to projects in Siberia, China and Japan in order to keep its people when construction was slow in Western Canada."

Paul Stastny
Pro-Contractor, Vol IV Issue 1, Winter 2003, p. 5

A Tale

Decades in the north and overseas have honed Clark Builders' planning skills. "If you forget a saw in Russia or the High Arctic, you don't walk across street to pick one up. It might cost a month of time and thousands of dollars," observes Brian Robinson, Clark Builders Vice President of Business Development. "The guys in the field need to know that the people who did the buying did it right." Case in point: a $40 million transfer of Canadian cold climate techniques to Eastern Siberia. Under Clark Builders' steady eye, an entire village was packed into containers in the exact order it should come out, trucked to Vancouver, shipped by Russian freighter, trundled across the Arctic, offloaded to a river barge, trucked to the job site. In sum, Brian says, "We know how to do logistics."
