EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Meet Michael, Clark Builders’ HSE Advisor in Northern Alberta! A team player with a can-do attitude, he coaches and mentors individuals and new workers on health and safety policies at the job sites. Michael also works closely with project managers to maintain an acceptable level of safety on the job site. By ensuring that every site passes the safety inspection, Michael plays an integral role in keeping in line with Clark Builders’ Building L.I.F.E. (Live injury free everyday) policy. An enthusiastic out-of-the-box thinker, Michael has been with us for just under two years. His favourite part of the job is building teams and relationships whilst maintaining regular two-way safety communication and learning with crews and trade partners onsite. Michael spends his free time in the back-country camping, fishing and boating. When not enjoying the outdoors, he’s either watching the Las Vegas Raiders or Edmonton Oilers play.

What is your favourite part of the job?

Being able to interact and build relationships with our operation teams and individuals from multiple trade partners. As well, learning from these individuals and incorporating health and safety into the processes that are presented to me.

What do you enjoy most about this industry?

Everyone is knowledgeable and takes pride in the trade they work in. I enjoy learning nonstop about different construction processes and the challenges they present each and every day.

Which of our core values most resonates with you?

Team and Can-Do Attitude. In this industry, working as a team (respecting and trusting in one and other) and always having a can-do attitude/mentality can lead you to achieve milestones and successful completion of projects.
