What is your favourite part of the job?

The job is different every day, and I get to meet different people and learn from them. I also enjoy being able to drive by past projects and show people what I’ve worked on!

What do you enjoy most about this industry?

Although the execution of projects is similar, each one presents unique opportunities to learn. Each day has a different challenge, and it keeps things interesting.

What is your favourite restaurant in Calgary?

It’s hard to choose only one, but if I had to choose, I’d pick Haru. It has got to be the best sushi in Calgary!

What was your very first job? What did it teach you?

I worked at DQ when I was 14, with another Clark Builders team member. It taught me the importance of teamwork, patience, and perseverance. Quite often it would be minutes before close, everything was shut down and clean and we were ready to go home when a busload of patrons would walk in the door wanting food and ice cream. We had to work fast, hook everything back up, be organized and stay as long as required, to satisfy the customers.
