Project Description

The Mother Margaret Mary High School project was one of several schools that were included in the Alberta Schools Alternate Procurement (ASAP) II Design-Build High School bundle. Each elevation of this LEED® Silver project contains a patchwork of masonry, stucco, hardie board and glazing. The sloping site added another element to the challenge of efficiently and economically delivering four modular classrooms to the most difficult area of the site to access.

On the interior a great amount of masonry and two 6 meter tall operable walls separate a drama space from the gymnasium and the commons area. Science areas, fitness rooms, food and fashion classrooms, a chapel and a CTS wing, all with abuse resistance finishes make up the rest of this unique facility. The site was turned over early to the clients, despite the heart of the construction occurring during a winter with record snowfall.
