The ServerFarm Data Centre project involved the expansion and modernization of the TOR1 campus, along with the delivery of a new, purpose-built mission-critical facility. Executed across multiple phases, the work increased capacity, improved resiliency, and enhanced long-term operational flexibility across the site.
The TOR1.1 modernization included a complete interior demolition and rebuild of the existing facility, delivering 3.25MW of generator capacity and 2MW of UPS capacity within 10,000 square feet of white space. The upgraded facility features concurrently maintainable N+1 mechanical and electrical systems, a new air-cooled chiller plant, generator yard, and improved office and support areas.
Additional phases expanded capacity through the fit-out of two existing data halls, each fully equipped with new mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems to support increased load and operational flexibility.
The TOR2.1 expansion delivered a new, purpose-built data centre adjacent to the existing campus. Designed for a total critical load of 8MW, the initial build-out provided 4MW of capacity within the data hall. The facility includes full mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including medium and low-voltage distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, PDUs, and busway. Cooling is provided through a chilled water plant with rooftop chillers and fan wall units to support high-density, mission-critical operations.
Together, the projects demonstrate expertise in delivering phased campus expansions and new-build data centres while maintaining performance, reliability, and scalability.
