Fort McKay Fire Hall

Fort McKay, Alberta

Project Description

The community of Fort McKay required a fire hall that not only served the purpose of local safety but that was integrated within the local Metis and First Nations communities.

This much needed facility spans 12,600 square feet and includes four apparatus bays, offices, a fitness room, and two training areas —one of which was a specially designed ladder training area that runs all the way from the parking lot to the roof. The ladder training area is equipped with anchor points and railings for utmost safety. In addition to this, the project also included a full kitchen, site development, an advanced electrical and mechanical building management system, and bespoke mill work. Also in scope was the installation of water, storm, sanitary, and utility services. Formed with structural steel and metal decking, the building utilizes a combination of phenolic panels and brick cladding.

Clark Builders further strengthened our bond with the Fort McKay community by successfully completing the construction of their brand-new fire hall. Our team ensured that every aspect of the project was executed to perfection, resulting in a magnificent structure that stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and the Fort McKay community.
