Project Description

Clark Builders was the general contractor for the new Kananaskis Emergency Services Centre and demolition of the old structure.

The 32,485 sq.ft. facility is home to 24-hour dispatch operations that will support emergency response in the Kananaskis region. The facility features four bays for fire department apparatuses such as fire trucks and ladder trucks, a dormitory space, and a four-storey tall training tower for firefighter training in full gear.

The building’s exterior is expressed with a mountain theme and has an architecturally pleasing palette of stone, cladding, and glass. Landscaping is intentionally rugged to blend naturally into the mountain landscape. This project followed LEED® practices; however, it did not target LEED® certification.
